Vacation!!!

Vacation! We are leaving tomorrow! I can hardly wait! This past week has been just a flurry of activity in preparation for the trip. We made the journey up to the attic for the Christmas decorations. Our house is decorated. I have been doing the super clean up and prep work for the house sitter. I try to make his life easier while we are gone. Birdie bread had to be made, fruit cut, bird aviary cleaned, and bird bowls santizied so he won’t have to do all that. It’s not an easy task for our housesitter with 45+ birds, 3 dogs, 2 cats, an aquarium and a koi pond to look after. Ah, thus is the life where the deer and chipmunks roam the yard!

Here’s a couple of pics of some of our decorations around the house. When we get back from vacation, I’ll post some pictures of the outside decorations and the house.

This first picture is my Teddie bear tree. My bears live all over the house during the year. They even have their own very large canoe so lots of them can sail the ocean blue or the koi pond at the same time. Anyway, every year i gather them all up, dust them off and let them "hang-out" in the tree until the very last day of Christmas. They seem to love it!

Next is our den fireplace all decked out for Santa. The stockings are all hung except the ones I have to make when I get back from Florida next week!













Last but not least is my Christmas village collection. It is displayed on my piano in the music room. My older son calls this room the "piano room" 'cause nothing else will fit in there with mom's piano!

After Christmas holidays, I will be offering new patterns under the design name, Patchwork Parrot Designs. I’m very excited aobut the new pattern line and will be looking forward to the input I receive from the quilt world.

Through my yahoo group, Quilting Fun, I’ll be offering a free online retreat weekend every third month, beginning with January 2006. Some months will be traditional patterns, some months will be an original mystery pattern. Come join the fun at Quilting Fun yahoo group!
